So, here we are in front of a long-lasting debate:
How far can I go while designing my next project? Is aluminium limiting my ideas for the spacing? Well, have we got good news for you: you can go as far as you want, because the versatility and flexibility of aluminium as a material, means we can create large range of sizes and varying degrees of complexity.
Before we get into the freedom of choices while designing, let’s make a quick recap of the biggest (but not all) advantages of Aluminium and it’s outstanding physical characteristics:
- Strong (Appropriately alloyed and tempered, aluminum can be stronger than some steels, with ultimate tensile strengths as high as 80,000 psi to 90,000 psi or more)
- Corrosion-Resistant: It develops its own inert aluminium oxide film, which is self-protective, blocking further oxidation.
- Heat Conductive: conducts – and dissipates – heat better than any other common metal on both a weight and cost basis.
- Cold Strength: steel and plastics get brittle when the temperature drops… aluminium gets stronger and tougher!
Now, combine these characteristics with geometry, creativity and our expertise: the result is always cutting-edge design and sustainability of the future.
Aesthetically speaking, our frames are available in a wide range of colors, and let us remind you of how bulkier, limiting and less attractive uPVC is when design is concerned.
Plus, there is another advantage that you must know when designing your next project: due to aluminium’s strength and flexibility, complex layouts can be accommodated and the doors can be fully customized. Least we remind you that uPVC and timber are very non-flexible materials for customizing. And there is no other way for making the living space more personal, than by customizing it.
